Clubs1 - Culture Box Kronprinsessegade 54A Wed-Thu: 20-? The newest major club in Copenhagen with interior inspired by the design and atmosphere of Berlin's underground. The venue itself consists of two floors. A main room that obviously is for dancing with a powerful sound system and visuals maintained by different VJ's and the basement area which works as café and chill-out area. They offer a varied range of events and clubnights comprising a musical spectrum of techno, house, electro, electronica, hip-hop, drum'n'bass, dub og reggae. 2 - Vega Enghavevej 40 Nightclub Fri-Sat: 23.00-04.30 Ideal Bar: Wed: 19-04 In the quarters of the old Folkets Hus on Vesterbro, Vega opened it's doors 10 years ago. It works both as venue for concerts and club events. In Lille Vega, Vega Natklub resides every Friday and Saturday. The most successful club in the last years offers a mixture of House, Disco, Funk and more laidback sounds in the upstairs lounge. If you fancy something else you can always check out Ideal Bar on street level. Remember to come early cause Vega is known for long queues after midnight. 3 - Rust Guldbergsgade 8 Wednesday-Saturday 21-05 Rust took it's name from German pilot, Matthias Rust, who landed on the Red Square, Moscow in 1989. The venue features concerts and nightclubbing as well as bar and lounge. The main floor features a mix of House, Breakbeat, Hip-Hop whereas the basement is House and more obscure styles. Home to the most successful Wednesday night in the last years, Mid Week Brakes. 4 - Stengade 30 Stengade 18 An instution in Copenhagen and a place with rough surroundings but yet cosy atmosphere. Concerts with unknown and underground bands as well as various club events. Mainfloor features Techno, D'n'B, Grime, Dub etc. but check homepage and monthly program for info. Upstairs you can hang out in Café Stalingrad or mingle in the small cocktailbar just nearby. Another successful club, Rub-A-Dub, rules the Sundays here. 8 - Nadsat Hyskenstræde 10
Another fusion in the world of Copenhagen entertainment. In the daytime the spot hosts Amoeba where you can check out the latest releases in electronic music. Have a chat with the friendly staff while drinking your coffee, tea or beer from the bar. Light courses like sandwiches or soups are available from the kitchen. At night the place is transformed into a small club with various DJ's offering House, Techno, D'n'B etc. Very friendly atmosphere with a lot of new faces every time. Recently, the staff have launched a Friday event with DJ's and open doors to the street.
Bars5 - Robert's Coffee Larsbjørnsstræde 17 Mon-Thu: 10-23 Situated in the heart of Copenhagen just opposite Atlas Bar you'll find this small oasis dedicated to coffee and relaxation. Every Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday you can experience various DJ's presenting laidback sounds and grooves in the basement which is equipped with comfortable furniture. 6 - Simpelt V Istedgade 96 A relatively new bar on Vesterbro, but very popular among the locals. A mixture of Hip-Hop, Electro, House and other styles blast through the speakers Thursday to Saturday.
Nørre Farimagsgade 41, st. tv Mon-Tue: 10-24 A combined lounge bar and clothing store, offering small courses, hot/cold drinks and wines. From Wednesday to Saturday you can enjoy various DJ's spinning everything in the soulful spectre of music. 20 - Wascator Refsnæsgade 32-34 Mon-Thu: 11-24 Kitchen: Weekdays 12-22 www.was-cator.dk/ Record Stores9 - Accord København K: Mon-Thu 10-18 Nørrebro: Mon-Fri 10-20 Lyngby: Mon-Thu: 10-18 A chain of second hand stores established back in 1943. Like Sound Station they sport a broad range of music, but it's more unlikely to find scarce items there. Prices are lower compared to Sound Station in general but the condition of their items are also slightly more used. Look through the bins of their low price section where you can find real jewels from time to time. They also have a discount system indicated with differently coloured stickers.
Hyskenstræde 10 In the same place as Nadsat you'll find Ameoba where you can get the latest imports in Techno, House, Minimal House etc. They carry a small selection but there's something for everyone. If you don't have internet access this is the place to find partyinfo.
Gammel Kongevej 39 Mon-Thu 12-18 Small shop carrying a good selection of new and second hand within Pop, Rock, Electronica, Hip-Hop, Jazz etc. 12 - Hydeparks Corner Istedgade 47 Mon 12-18 Run by Lars Hydeskov aka Hydepark. A devoted and charismatic lover of all things Jamiacan. Started off in Christiania but moved his store to Vesterbro a few years ago. In the shop you can find a nice selection of Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and Ragga. Lars hosts his own show on Christiania Radio
Gammel Kongevej 140A Tlf. 33 26 22 62 Mon-Fri: 10-20 Recently opened store founded by a previous manager from Accord. Prices are in the same range as Accord and they feature a similar discount system (All Styles 2'nd Hand)
14 - Second Hand Records Larsbjørnsstræde 20 Tlf: 33 15 00 03 Mon-Thu 12-17:30 An off-shot of Accord, carrying items which didn't make it through the first cut. However, it's possible to find some rare records at a very reasonable price.
Gammel Kongevej 94 Mon-Thu: 10-17 After more than a decade Sound Station is THE place to get what you only dreamed of. The staff have an extensive knowledge of music and feel free to ask if you don't see what you are looking for. Chances are high that they will have it in their huge basement stock or can track it down for you. In general prices are higher in Sound Station for second hand items, but many a collector have found that illusive record they hunted for years in pristine condition.

You have the possibility of using the kitchen free of charge. Also you have options of booking your room with or without own bathroom. Price range: starting at 245- 550 DKK.
17 - Apartment Hotel Valberg Søndre Boulevard 53 Tlf: 33 25 25 19 Located on Vesterbro-not far from Tivoli you'll find Hotel Valberg which actually are real hotel flats. Offering ensuite and 2-room hotel flats with TV, kitchen, bathroom and phone. Price range: 501-1000 kr
18 - Danhostel Copenhagen City H.C. Andersens Boulevard 50 Tlf: 33 11 85 85 http://www.danhostel.dk/vandrerhjem.asp?id=144 Situated in the old HK building at the harbour front, it's hard to get The hostel has rooms designed for 4, 6, 8 and 10 persons all with shower/bathroom. Price range: 120 DKK
